Comparison sites…what’s the big deal!?!

It wasn’t too long ago that the only comparison site of any note was Kelkoo, now you can compare everything from toasters and holidays to gas bills and wine!

British consumers are still extremely wary of spending their money, with significant government cuts meaning many more people are likely to be made redundant this year – the words ‘double dip recession’ are constantly in the back of people’s minds.

Brits want to spend money and enjoy their hard earned cash, but they also want the best deal. So, comparison sites are becoming increasingly more popular, as consumers are determined to pay the lowest price.

Couriers signing up to deliveryquotecompare.com as transport providers can take advantage of this growing trend, by offering their courier services to savvy shoppers.

It doesn’t stop there though, in general online shopping is on the up…

As eBay’s sales soar so too do online sales – in March alone UK shoppers spent more than £5 billion online, according to the latest figures from ecommerce trade body the IMRG¸ a 14% jump on the same time last year.

Verdict Researchs’ Webloyalty Online Retail Report predicts the amount of money spent online will grow by £14 billion between 2010 and 2014.

All this is brilliant news for couriers; if it’s bought online it has to be delivered!
