I expect to have about 4-5 boxes (I expect them to be either 560x385x325 mm or 685x480x465 mm). There will be clothes in all except one box. I expect them to weight around 25kg each but I can’t tell in advance as I’ll have no way to weight the boxes.
How do you charge for you services? Per size of box or and weight?
I need the boxes delivered to Chelmsford, I will need them to be collected on the eve of the 19th Dec. The only issue with them being delivered in Essex is that I have to see if the landlord of where I’ll be moving into can meet you! I don’t know anyone in Chelmsford and I will not be in Chelmsford until the 30th Dec (I’m in Ireland from the 20th -30th).
Alternatively, do you happen to store boxes etc? If it suited you would you be able to pick them up on the 19th and drop them down on the 30th along? (it might work out if you get other people’s stuff to move on same day!).

I apologise for long message! I’m trying to work out how to sort this out. Any help and suggestions kindly welcomed.

We can collect this week on Friday 15th; next week on Monday 18th or on Thursday 21st and deliver on Friday 29th (between Dec 30th to Jan 2nd we are not working). For this period of time we will keep them into our secure storage. Our quote all in is 110 - including the deposit to site.
Let me know when is more convenient for pick up end and if drop of on 29th is suitable.
Our manager will contact each end a day before to confirm the time slot of arrival.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have to go to the airport early on the 21st. What is the earliest time that ye can pick up? Regarding holding in storage, I would probably need the boxes held in storage until ye return to work after the 2nd. Does this add to the 110?

It is difficult to say at the moment, it may be during PM time, as we have a route to follow.
In this case, we can collect them on Monday 18th, and delivery after Jan 2nd when we are back and it will be 20 on top per storage.

The time slot can be provided only on Saturday 16th or Sunday 17th. Our manager will schedule the route for Monday 18th and will text you to confirm the time slot. In case it doesn't work, you will let us know and we will reschedule it a little to be at your address at the time that is suitable for us both parts.
But the main problem is that due to peak season the routes complete very fast and cannot guarantee that by Friday or Saturday we will still be available for Monday 18th.

So now collection is for Thursday 20th Dec, any time that suits ye as the guy at reception will let ye into the apartment to collect my stuff. Delivery will be when ye get back to work, can we finalise date and time at a later stage? The later the better to drop off will suit!

I have made a massive mistake with the size of the boxes. The size of the boxes are tiny! Will the courier have much other stuff going down to Essex? Can I put my stuff in bags? This is a big mess up.

I don’t have dimensions yet as I have to find a supplier to buy some. I expect them to be a few foot long (3/4!) and about 2/3 foot x 2/3 foot. I need them to be large so I have to find somewhere that sells them. I don’t normally buy boxes so I’m finding it hard to visualise them.

Question: Selena, Let's do this way, when you have all the clothes packed, let us know how many exactly there are and the correct dimensions and we will update the quote - in case they are too large.
Our price is based on the dimensions and weight - how much space will ocupy n the van and in the storage.

Response: Hi Mike, I am trying to find somewhere to buy large boxes and so far I am having no luck as they are all tiny. I will not have them packed until next week as I haven't even sourced any yet. I am looking for about 5 foot x 2/3 foot x 2/3 foot or so. i hope to hve 5 of them. Based on those sizes how much is the price going to increase? I guess the boxes could weigh up to 25 kg each.

If they will ocupy half of the van - then it will be 30 on top. You can put them in bags - if they will ocupy less space, it's ok from our end.

Response: Hi Mike, I think my stuff was packed into about 15 or so bags when I moved into my current apt. Bags would prob be easier to fit into a small space? If ye don't mind taking bags then I can use them instead of trying to find boxes which are all tiny.
