Question: Good morning, I have put a bid for the job using a car transporter and trailer combo which means the price is for both cars collected and delivered on the same day. I have some availability this week to complete the delivery.

Question: Good morning Kate,

The price should have come through as £435 through the website? I am based in Shrewsbury but naturally travel the whole country. We specialise in collection and delivery and not recovery (like some) I wont bore you with the legalities.
I would be using an Iveco single car transporter for the MG and the SL would go on a nearly new Brian James car transporter designed for taking up to Range Rover style cars and I have had a £150k porsche 911 on it too. So more than designed for the job you need doing. Naturally, I can share photos/business details once the job is accepted.
I am insured for Road risk to carry goods and goods in transit up to £150k too. Copies available if you need them.
normally, A deposit would be paid through the website and we can arrange bank transfer, credit card or cash. I am also Vat registered if you are moving these cars through a business.

Response: Great. Thank you. The SL is a pagoda so has a hard roof too. Can this be transported as well?
Also, what day can you do this week and would both be brought on the same day?

Question: Ok great, can the roof be fitted to the car for transport? If so that won’t be a problem, carrying it separately could be challenging. Wednesday for definite, possibly Tuesday but a Liverpool to london job may run into Tuesday morning. So, let’s say Wednesday for both cars if that suits you?

Question: Unfortunately, we can only swap numbers once the quote has been accepted through the website, it’s a little like ‘eBay’ with communications... the trailer May be big enough to take the roof separately but I fear it may get damaged being strapped down? Is it a project or good condition car?

The cars are currently at my fathers house. He is 89 years old. I think the roof of the car is stored in the garage roof, would you guys be able to lift it down as I don’t really want dad doing it.
I am pretty sure it will be able to go on the car.
Also, as I’m not a car buff and had to use the pull down menus, just to confirm the cars are
Mercedes 280sl 1970
MG TA 1938.
The condition of the cars......depends who you ask! Dad thinks they are tip top condition. My husband would say they are in need of some TLC.

Ok that’s great, as long as they’re not complete wrecks needing restoration- they can be time consuming to load. And sounds like they will load easy enough. I can deal with the cars and know which ones they are. I’ll be alone but should be able to manage the roof and fit to the car... a little bit of hope mixed in there but I’ll find a way ???? absolute worst case scenario is re-delivering the roof with my van at a later date. - kermit7770 (19-04-2020)
