The quote is for transport inclusive of insurance for the transport of boats and VAT, but not lifting or slipway fees.

Your boat will be moved on one of our fully adjustable boat trailers, towed by a 4x4 specially adapted and uprated for heavy duty towing, and in compliance with Tachograph and Operators Transport Regulations, and driven by a LGV (Class1) qualified driver.

Question: Hi, I am concerned that you are not aware that the boat is a 1970's model and is thought to weigh around 3 tons which might exceed the 3.5 ton boat + trailer road limit. - (06-02-2020)

Response: I have understood them to be around 2.6 - 2.7 tonnes but admittedly I"ve never put one over a weighbidge, all boats vary in weight and sometimes have add ballast. My trailer will carry 2.8 tonnes.

Question: Thanks for your reply, the reason I asked was that I had a similar quote from another firm, but when I asked if they could launch it from a slipway he said he thought it was too heavy and would have to investigate when he asked around he was told it was too heavy to trailer let alone launch. Online similar elysian 27 are quoted as having 1814 Kg displacement so I would think that it would be fine. If you are happy the next question is is it possible to launch it from a slipway in Oxford? We were thinking of 18th Feb for the move.

I think they are bit heavy than 1800 kg but certainly less than 3000 kg, I would estimate around 2500 kg. Yes I can slip it off the trailer provided there is a reasonable slipway, but would prefer it lifted onto the trailer. At the present time the 18 th Feb is fine.
