- Question:
I intend to accept your offer. I am travelling to Denmark tomorrow and would like to make the boat ready for transportation. At the moment, the boost is on hardstanding with the mast in. The hull is 28', but the mast is 30', which is the length I gave on the submission.
Would you want the mast secured on deck or will it be laid separately on the transporter?
Do I need to completely strip the mast, or can I leave the rigging secured to the mast?

Unless you can lash the mast alongside the wheelhouse, which is not easy. I think we will have to carry the mast on the trailer. The mast is best transported on deck, but I think your wheelhouse will be in the way. We need to keep her overall height down to no more than wheelhouse height. You can simply lash the rigging to the mast but if possible pull the spreaders out of their sockets to make it easier to handle and stow. If there is a jib furling drum hanging beyond the mast, it helps to make a wooden splint to support it and avoid buckling the aluminium foil. - (09-07-2019)
