Questions

Question: Hi. Can this be towed? - sirwinchalot (21-06-2022)
Response: Hi- thanks for the enquiry. The cabin is bolted onto a turntable chassis. It has solid wheels and is unsuitable for the road. It needs a low loading trailer with a winch. I’m in the process of adding a couple of photos. Regards Gary
Question: Yes photos would be helpful. Also track width (to outside of wheels) and estimate of weight if known. Cheers. Peter - sirwinchalot (22-06-2022)

Question: Hi. Yes, pictures would be helpful. Also track width (measure to outside of wheels) and a rough guess as to weight if possible.

Cheers,

Peter - sirwinchalot (22-06-2022)
Response: Morning Peter.
The cabin is built in a turntable chassis. The distance between wheels is 96” long and 40” wide. The cabin size is 12’longx7’widex9’high approx.
There isn’t enough weight in it to worry about I don’t think. I moved one similar a couple of weeks ago on a 16’x7’ trailer with winch.
The sites admin have added photos giving an idea of what the cabin looks like although the current one is still being built.
Hope that helps
Gary
Question: Hi. That’s really useful. Thanks. I have a car transporter trailer that’s just over 2m wide by 5m long. It’s got a winch and also tilts for unloading. The only consideration is the minimum distance between the ramps which is 89cm, so if you can confirm that it will go up the ramps then I’ll put a quote in when I get home. Cheers. Peter - sirwinchalot (22-06-2022)
Response: The trailer sounds suitable Peter. The wheels are 40” apart so they should be ok up the ramp?
The cabin maybe a touch wider than 2m once completed. But the chassis is 70cm high. I’m assuming that it would be higher than the sides of your trailer and not present a problem?
Thanks
Gary
Question: Hi. Think it will work. If the gap between the wheels is 40" then it should be just on the ramps with a couple of inch either side to spare. just need to accurate when loading but winching means there's plenty of control. The trailer just has minimal sides on it, just a lip really of a couple of inches.

Regards,

Peter - sirwinchalot (22-06-2022)
