Submitting quotes & bids

Before submitting a quote on deliveryquotecompare.com you must complete the registration process and activate your account. For further information on registering and activating your account please refer to How to register.

Once your account has been activated you can bid on listed jobs by following the steps as outlined below:

  1. Make sure you are logged into deliveryquotecompare.com by going to: http://www.deliveryquotecompare.com/login.
  2. Select 'search deliveries'
  3. Click on the listing of interest so that the full details of the listing are displayed
  4. View the consignment details including collection and delivery locations, transport timeframe, handling equipment required, as well as other bids placed
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where the quote form is displayed
  6. Enter your bid amount including VAT where applicable
  7. Enter any additional information that the user may require when considering your bid
  8. Click 'Submit'

Please note, as detailed in the user agreement, it is strictly prohibited to detail any direct contact information within the quote form, or direct users off-site for the purpose of completing a transaction.

User and transport provider contact details are only exchanged once a user has accepted a transport providers quote. Abuse of this policy could result in account closure.

Withdrawing a quote or bid

To withdraw a bid please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Make sure you are logged into deliveryquotecompare.com by going to: http://www.deliveryquotecompare.com/login.
  2. Select 'Active listings' on the left hand side of the page
  3. Click on the listing in question and click on the 'Withdraw bid' button on the right & follow the on screen instructions

Communicating with users

Although we try to capture as much information as possible during the quote request process there may be occasions prior to submitting a bid where you require additional information from the user. Conversely a user may well have questions about your bid.

To facilitate such communication deliveryquotecompare.com provides a simple and effective channel of communication through the website.

To ask a question prior to submitting a bid you can use the question / answer section on the consignment details page. Simply click on the 'ask a question' link.

Once you have submitted a bid, you can answer any questions a customer may have, in one of two ways:

Either through your 'inbox' in your My Profile section, or through the 'quote / bid details' section of the listing by following the steps outlined below:

  1. Make sure you are logged into deliveryquotecompare.com by going to: http://www.deliveryquotecompare.com/login.
  2. Select 'Active bids' on the left hand side of the page
  3. Click on the listing in question and click on the 'View bids' button
  4. Scroll down to the bid section and click on the ‘bid details' button
  5. Type your reply in the message box on the right hand side of the bid details section and click submit

Registration & sign in

For providers of transportation services deliveryquotecompare.com is an excellent way of generating additional revenue without the costs associated with traditional forms of marketing.

Quite simply to use deliveryquotecompare.com is free of charge. There are no registration fees, subscription fees, or quote submission fees. We only charge a success fee if and when a submitted quote is accepted by the user.

Registering with deliveryquotecompare.com is quick and simple. Simply click on the Register button on the top right hand side of the website and follow the on screen instructions. Once your details have been submitted you will receive an activation email and password to validate your account. Once activated you can view listings on deliveryquotecompare.com and submit bids for the work.

Managing your account

Managing your deliveryquotecompare.com account does require a certain amount of effort; however, we have tried to simplify the process by consolidating the most important tasks into one area - My Profile

From your My Profile page you can do the following:

  • View and respond to messages from users
  • Search listings
  • View accepted bids
  • View inactive bids, including those which have been declined, withdrawn, or have expired
  • Updated your business contact information
  • Update your profile page

Protecting your account

Login:

By default you will remain logged into deliveryquotecompare.com until you log off. As such, to protect your account please ensure that you remember to log off, especially if you are using a public computer.

Password:

When choosing a password for your account we recommend that you choose something which is memorable to you, yet difficult for someone else to guess. It is also advised that you use a mixture of upper and lower case letters as well as including at least one number.

For added security it is advised that you do not share your password with another person.

Retrieving password / username

If you have lost or forgotten your password you can enter either your username or password at www.deliveryquotecompare.com/login/change-password.

We will then email you a link which will allow you to reset your password. If you do not receive this email check your spam folders and add [email protected] to your address book.

Accepted quotes / bids procedure

When a user accepts a quote they are required to pay a small deposit which is collected by deliveryquotecompare.com. This amount is equal to the success fee charged when a quote is accepted. The balance is paid direct to you by the user according to your payment methods and terms.

Once the deposit payment has been made we will send you a bid acceptance email detailing the contact information of the user. Once received it is imperative that you contact the user as quickly as possible in order to make the necessary arrangements to carry out the shipment.
