Question: I already booked it for tomorrow with another company for around £300, but they are now saying it may be transported on a 40-tonne lorry with other items, which I’m not comfortable with due to the narrow access at delivery.

Your 3.5t van would be much better for access. Would you be able to match closer to their price, around £300?

The job is still booked with zipmend, but they had issues with accessing the drop off location earlier, but the job hasn't been cancelled yet. I will let you know as soon as I hear from them.

Do you have the dimensions of the drop location to confirm the van will be 100% suitable? as after travelling to collect and then moving to delivery location, we won't be able to make any sort of refund .

I can book you in for a Friday collection or Monday, depends on availability at time of booking but you can just drop me a message once they have cancelled and we can confirm everything for you.

Question: The current company plans to send the 40 tone lorry, which I felt nervous about, but any other vehicle sizes, like 7.5t type track and anything below, are perfectly fine. There is no issues with the van, there are vans on the site all the time. Even 40 tone should be OK, but I was a bit worried because about 0.5 mile access road is only single lane. - (25-06-2026)

Before confirming the booking, could you please confirm what vehicle you are planning to use for the transport? You mentioned a van, but the machine is around 2 tonnes, so this would exceed the capacity of a standard van.

Please confirm the vehicle type, payload capacity, and whether it will be suitable for loading and transporting a machine of this weight safely.

Once confirmed, we can agree the best collection date.
