The problem with my car is that the battery has failed completely (as far as I can tell) and I have no power whatsoever. The car has an electronic handbrake which will have been put on when the car was parked (in a working condition). Now that there is no power will the electronic handbrake stay on? Response: I'm not sure. Strange how it's still dead with jump leads. Has it been involved in an accident? I have 1 wheel skate. I'll order another one if you accept the quote then at least I can put skates on both rear wheels if need be.

I'll have to increase my quote slightly for the extra time/equipment.

Question: Thanks. No it has not been in an accident. It was was working perfectly when it was parked on the drive. It had a new Bosch battery fitted in February 2021. It hasn't been used much so I assumed that the battery was just flat. Fortunately, I left the door unlocked (with a steering lock on!) so was able to pop the bonnet - but it wouldn't charge on the battery terminals there and the boot won't open so I can access the battery which is installed there. I'm just checking with the BMW dealers to see who can fix it. May need to change to a new destination (NE28 9ND) but its the same distance away - about 5 miles.
