Doing just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/health-14526853\">15 minutes<\/a> of moderate exercise each day can help keep you fit and healthy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A\ncombination of running on the spot, squats, press-ups or star jumps each day\nfor just a quarter of an hour can get your heart rate up, which will help burn\nfat and tone muscles. You don\u2019t have to run a 5k every day, just get moving\nbefore you climb into your truck for a day\u2019s work<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Work\nout on the job <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When\nthe job involves sitting behind a wheel for most of the day, you might not\nthink you can do any kind of exercise. However, you can maintain a strong core\nby occasionally pulling in your abs while you and seeing how long you can hold\nthem for. Maybe hold them in until a traffic light changes from red to green or\na song on the radio finishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Take\nadvantage of service stations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your job takes you on long journeys each day, you\u2019ll naturally want to stop at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.menshealth.com\/fitness\/a19534152\/on-the-road-fitness\/\">service station <\/a>and grab a breather and maybe a cup of coffee. Try to use the opportunity to stretch out your legs and arms. There\u2019s nothing wrong with that in theory, it\u2019s just that many of the traditional snack foods are high in fat, sugar and salt. Swapping over to healthier snacks such as plain, organic nuts and dried fruit can satisfy your hunger without piling on the pounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Drink\nlots of water<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You may think this will mean running to the toilet every 15 minutes, which isn\u2019t ideal when you spend so much time on the road, but there are many health and fitness benefits to drinking water. It\u2019s recommended that adults drink two litres of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicalnewstoday.com\/articles\/290814\">water every day<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\nhelps to give you energy and boosts your metabolism.
