With thousands of deliveries being made every\nminute of every day, it\u2019s only natural that some of them don\u2019t quite work out\nas planned. We\u2019ve trawled the web looking for shipping disasters that are truly\nhilarious – although possibly not for the person receiving the delivery! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whether it\u2019s clear signs of rough handling, or\na particularly bizarre choice of drop-off point, check out these 10 delivery\nfails and count yourself lucky that you weren\u2019t the customer in question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 – Hiding in Plain Sight<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This delivery driver clearly had their own\ndefinition of a \u2018safe place\u2019, when they simply draped a doormat over this large\ncardboard package. It\u2019s an amusing attempt at camouflage, but realistically,\nit\u2019s not a secure place to leave anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 – Locked In<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n One unfortunate customer was left trapped in\ntheir home when a delivery driver left a parcel wedged under the front door\nhandle – not ideal when all they did was order a tall package from Amazon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3 – The Perfect Fit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This driver really wasn\u2019t thinking about the\ncustomer when they wedged the package this tightly into their mailbox. It\u2019s an\nimpressive feat that they managed to fit it in in the first place, but we\nwonder how the customer was able to remove it without causing damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4 – Let Nature Do Its Work<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This delivery driver decided that a nearby\nbush was the most secure place to leave a package. While the photo makes it\nlook fairly camouflaged, you don\u2019t exactly want to have to forage in the\nwilderness for something you bought online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5 – A Stamp of Approval<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This package arrived with a clear boot print\non the outside, as though it had been stepped on – or even stamped on by a\nmuddy – and inconsiderate – shoe. Not the treatment you expect when you buy\nfrom a trusted seller!<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6 – Kick the Bucket<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n You can see the thought process behind this\ndelivery driver\u2019s decision, but the end result is ludicrous. Leaving a package\nhalf-covered by an upturned bucket is not exactly a secure delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 7 – A Little Ropey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This resourceful driver decided to fling their\npackage over the fence with a rope attached. Their innovation can be applauded,\nbut it\u2019s a risky decision if the contents were breakable, and who\u2019s to say someone\ncouldn\u2019t grab the rope from the other side and pull it back over?<\/p>\n\n\n\n 8 – Things Got Hairy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n As a buyer, you\u2019d hope that a failed delivery\nwould usually happen because there\u2019s nowhere safe to leave the package. This\ndelivery driver made the executive decision to skip delivery, claiming that\nthere was a \u2018bear at the door\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 9 – Squashed Plant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Not only was this package left in an insecure\nplace and in plain sight, but the driver left it on top of a pot plant,\nsquashing it in the process. Understandably, the customer was pretty peeved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 10 – A Feeble Attempt<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This driver tried to squeeze a package that\nwas far too big for its mailbox, and appears to have given up half-way through\n– not exactly the secure and considerate treatment you\u2019d want for your personal\npost!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
