Why would you take a food mixer and who needs a toaster when you\u2019ve got a grill, heres what\u2019s needed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pots \/ pans, you don\u2019t need many but at least one medium sized pan, one small and a frying pan are essential.<\/li>\n<li>Baking tray, for cooking ready meals or reheating pizza<\/li>\n<li>Utensils, at least one sharp knife, tongs, spatula and spoons.<\/li>\n<li>Cutlery and crockery, enough for you but maybe spares if you\u2019re wanting to entertain.<\/li>\n<li>Kettle and mugs <em>Top tip<\/em> pack this with some tea coffee and powdered milk and make it easy to find, you\u2019ll want a brew whilst unpacking)<\/li>\n<li>Plastic tubs, for keeping half portions or leftovers and for your lunches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I\u2019ve already bigged up Ikea in previous blogs, but they\u2019re great for starter sets, try this one for pans:<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/gb\/en\/catalog\/products\/60139363\/<\/p>\n<p>Kitchen box count 3<\/p>\n<h2>Bedroom<\/h2>\n<p>You&#8217;ll need a good sleep after a hard days studying!!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Duvet and pillows (I spent my first year at Uni using my coat as a pillow, don\u2019t forget)<\/li>\n<li>Bed linen, make sure you have two sets, even using tumble driers at the laundrette one set need to air before putting back on the bed<\/li>\n<li>Top tip invest in a bottle of fabreeze to keep everything smelling fresh<\/li>\n<li>Hangers and possibly a free standing clothes rail<\/li>\n<li><em>Top tip<\/em>, get a door stop, you can prop your door open to be sociable or use it to block your door when you want to be alone or for extra security.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Bedroom box count 3<\/h5>\n<h2>Bathroom<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Towel, again make sure you have at least two<\/li>\n<li>Bath robe, you may think you\u2019re an Adonis or super model but it saves for embarrassment when you shuffling around with a hangover in your grey comfy pants.<\/li>\n<li>Toiletries and bag<\/li>\n<li>Hairdryer, straighters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Bathroom box count 1<\/h5>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>Electrical<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>TV, DVD and DVD\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Games console<\/li>\n<li>Radio<\/li>\n<li>Laptop<\/li>\n<li>Alarm clock<\/li>\n<li>Plugs, chargers and cables<\/li>\n<li>Printer (Optional, you can use the Uni facilities for most printing although most course work can now be sent electronically)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Electrical box count 2\/3 pack this well with plenty of bubble wrap.<\/h5>\n<h2>Clothes<\/h2>\n<p>We won\u2019t tell you what to take, you know what to wear and when, make sure though you have enough to last between laundry visits.
