Ctrack Launches RFID Tracking Solution

Ctrack is soon to send out its new integrated RFID monitoring system across Europe. The new monitoring systems are designed to protect high-value goods. Following it’s success in South Africa and Asia Pacific, ISIS which has been developed with Mega Fortris who are a specialist designer and manufacturer of security seals, will be launched in the UK, Holland and Scandinavi. There will be three types of active ISIS I-Seals available – pallet, padlock and wire – that provide the exact needs of freight businesses.

ISIS (Integrated Security Intelligent Solution) offers the perfect solution for a wide range of high-value, environment-sensitive and time-sensitive cargos including metals, liquids, chemicals, fuel, pharmaceuticals, goods in pallets or containers and even cash in transit. The solution provides monitoring that helps to reduce cargo theft and minimises losses through theft or operational negligence.

The solution uses RFID technology security, tamper seals along with Ctrack’s fleet tracking solutions to make sure that companies can plan, load, tag and monitor cargo from when it leaves right through to final delivery, it also gives an instant proof of delivery to customers.

John Wisdom, Managing Director of Ctrack Europe said: “With current GPS tracking systems focusing on the monitoring of vehicles and drivers, we found that less attention was paid to the cargo being carried, which is essentially the purpose of the journey in the first place. ISIS enables transport businesses to remove this disconnect within their fleet operations to maximise security, efficiency and productivity.”

The active seals are also reusable and can be used for up to three years and report every two minutes, which provides the ability to monitor tampering, temperature, humidity and battery level. Each seal possess’ a unique ID number and can be tracked in each case, pallet and even packaging. This means that cargo and goods can be monitored individually as part of a wider tracking solution.

Adrian Ng, Group Managing Director Mega Fortris Group said: “ISIS is the result of more than 15 months research and development with Ctrack to develop an advanced solution beyond simply security seals or GPS tracking. As a result, we have already seen considerable demand in other markets and anticipate similar success within the UK and mainland Europe.”
