Further information: Hello, in Bristol and can collect both Monday and Tuesday next week, if that is not too short notice for you - then delivery to Torpoint later in the week. Please come back to us ASAP, and in any case BEFORE confirming the quote - we need to plan!
kind regards, Tan.
- Question:
Hello, this sounds good although I don't remember the weight of the item I originally put. It is a dissembled rat cage so is in large rectangle bars of metal but has some plastic trays that are very delicate and breakable. it should be no more than 42kg in total but obviously I can't weigh it myself! - (20-02-2021)
- Response:
Hello, thanks for mail. A rat cage - that's different! You mention disassembled - any ideas of the dimensions, please? (As always, ours are combined loads, so just checking that we have plenty of room - and I'll explain why: we quoted on a job earlier in the week for a 'finger post' - no problem there - but what the customer 'forgot' to tell us was that the post had a 3mtr long ground post attached to it! Yes, we got it in OK, but it would have been nice to know beforehand, don't you think ....? Delicate: all goods are blanket-wrapped and strapped in if required, or, if very fragile, carried in the cab (we do a lot of antique transfers, so know how to be careful). So then, no problems this end - all we would need to know is that there will be someone at the collection point (you might be amazed at how many are not) and that we can collect the final payment when we deliver to you - which really ought to be on Monday, but if we get held up at all - on the following day. - (20-02-2021)
- Question:
the dimensions are 153cm in length 67.5cm in width for the rectangles I am not sure of how big it would be when all stacked up and obviously some sides are smaller than others. Its all flat apart from the thickness os the metal sheets and a bag of screws to assemble them!
this is a link to the cage if thats is of any help - https://www.savic.be/products/suite-royale-xl/

- Response:
I knew it! I knew that if I waited long enough a sensible and structured customer would come along! Thank you for your mail, the dimensions, and the website link - oh, how I wish that everyone were so helpful. Not that it really matters, but just for my information, wondering if the cage is new or 're-purposed', and if it is the first option possibly wrapped in any way? As I say it does not matter because we would 'blanket wrap' it anyway, but every little helps. No matter: not being an expert on rat cages I didn't know what to expect, and the cage is a little larger than I expected - so for one big rat, or for a family? (Bad joke). I think that a Monday collection would still be fine, but if that failed, would Tuesday be OK? - guaranteed one day or the other, but we are playing around with van sizes at the moment because another quote has been confirmed, and - guess what? - we are waiting for the item dimensions on that one.
So then, all systems 'go' here, if you are happy as well - just that collection protocol to confirm, to save wasting everyone's time - and sorry to labour the point, but time has proved that it is always the biggest headache of all.
Look forward to speaking again, regards, Tan. (I'm going offline now until the morning - it's supper time!). - (20-02-2021)
- Question:
sorry I was also supposed to ask where you are able to collect from in Bristol as currently it is with a family member who can't move it alone as it is just her and her young child so taking it anywhere fir pick up is not easily possible! - (20-02-2021)
- Response:
Another message - thank you! Most anywhere in Bristol is fine for us, but collecting from Montpellier can be fraught with danger - have you seen how narrow some of the streets are? If the collection IS in Montpellier, please add a pasty to tip the driver when the cage arrives. Name of a suburb would help me to plan routes - and, having previously said that I'm off for my supper, I'll stay around for a little while and await your answer. No worries about carrying the thing, so no pressure on your relative to help. You my have realised by now that we always say, 'Yes, no problem' - that's us!
regards, Tan. - (20-02-2021)
- Question:
okay thank you, I just put a random Bristol post code while just looking around and it won't let me change it now !I am technically at PL101HL and the cage at BS66TL, but I can pick it up from Torpoint no problem if needed! Also one problem that seems to have cropped up is that on this coming Monday 22nd my family are out but they can leave the cage in a green garden storage unit for you if that would work?

- Response:
Hello, thanks for mail - still no problems on our part. For information, the Delivery website are very twitchy about people changing addresses - some daft notion about 'bucking the system' - but no matter, let's move on.
When you confirm our quote better, and more direct, contact details will arrive here, so we can speak more clearly - so if you are happy just go ahead, and then I'll come back to you once again.
regards, Tan. - (21-02-2021)
