Thanks for your message. I'm looking at a car for sale in Cambridge (4.5 year old VW Golf) and I live in Lerwick, Shetland. I've not yet bought it, but have reserved it and am making some final checks before I hand over the money. I'm totally flexible in terms of dates - it really just depends when I can get mainland delivery sorted, and when I can get space on the ferry.

My lowest quote so far is £496, but that is for someone to drive it - yours is less risky, and your overheads will probably be higher. Nevertheless, if you could go any lower that would be brilliant.
