Communicating with users

Although we try to capture as much information as possible during the quote request process there may be occasions prior to submitting a quote or bid where you require additional information from the user. Conversely a user may well have questions about your quote or bid.

To facilitate such communication deliveryquotecompare.com provides a simple and effective channel of communication through the website.

To ask a question prior to submitting a quote or bid you can use the question / answer section on the consignment details page. Simply click on the 'ask a question' link.

Once you have submitted a bid or quote, you can answer any questions a customer may have, in one of two ways:

Either through your 'inbox' in your My Profile section, or through the 'quote / bid details' section of the listing by following the steps outlined below:

  1. Make sure you are logged into deliveryquotecompare.com by going to: http://www.deliveryquotecompare.com/login.
  2. Select 'Active quotes / bids' on the left hand side of the page
  3. Click on the listing in question and click on the 'View quotes / bids' button
  4. Scroll down to the quote / bid section and click on the 'quote / bid details' button
  5. Type your reply in the message box on the right hand side of the quote / bid details section and click submit

Please note, as detailed in the user agreement, it is strictly prohibited to detail any direct contact information when communicating with a user. It is also forbidden to direct users off-site for the purpose of completing a transaction.

User and transport provider contact details are only exchanged once a user has accepted a transport providers quote / bid. Abuse of this policy could result in account closure.
