Question: Hi you might want to consider a sea freight quote. The volume & weight of the consignment via air freight will be very expensive. If you require a sea freight quote you will have to re list the consignment selecting 'Shipping'. - danship (07-10-2009)

thanks for reply. yes you are right about price, but last time i imported a crated bike from usa, it was obvious that the bike had been sat on and numerous sctatches had occured. My bike was shipped in a crate(sealed initially) on a roro ferry - NYC to Liverpool. I understand customs have to open crate for security etc, but my bike crate was completely destroyed and bike covered in salt. If this issue can be assured not to happen - sea freight would be ok. I will request a seperate quote for sea shipping regardless. Thanks for question

Question: How will you unload the crate from the vehicle at your premises as it is too big for a tail lift vehicle to get it to ground level? - magpie (08-10-2009)

Response: If necessary, I can get the bike delivered to a workshop about 1/2 mile from my house which has a fork lift. other address postcode is LA23 3AP, Lake Road, windermere
